Overview
All classes are held at our cake studio – 1219 Glen Huntly Road, Glen Huntly VIC (view location on Google Maps).
Each class is taught to small groups of no more than 8 students, in an intimate setting by an industry professional at our brand-new, purpose-built kitchen.
Our courses are all-inclusive. We provide ingredients, tools and equipment, undecorated cakes and cupcakes, and boxes – everything you need to learn the craft of baking and decorating.
Students are expected to adhere to all food health and safety laws when in our kitchen.
If you have any special dietary needs (for example, gluten or egg free products), please let us know at the time of enrolment and we will do our best to ensure you are working with products appropriate to your needs.
Cupcake Decorating – It's everyone's favourite little sweet treat... learn how to make yours spectacular!

Cupcake Pops
Invented by food blogger Bakerella, cupcake pops are the latest innovation in small, bite sized desserts!
A cake pop is a truffle made with cake and icing, coated with chocolate, decorated and served either as a bite-sized dessert or on a stick.
The design options with cupcake pops are endless and they are an alternative to traditional cupcakes, especially for kids!
Join us in this hands-on class as we learn to make cake pops and decorate them in a number of different styles. We'll demonstrate a few different options, then let you have freedom to create your own designs.

Birthday Cake Essentials
This class suits decorators with some familiarity with cake techniques. Students must have completed Introduction to Fondant with us or another training school in order to do this course
Suitable for those who are interested in making cakes for family and/or friends for special occasions
This cake intensive course will have students finishing 3 cakes, over 4 weeks, 3 hours per session (please note the fondant session runs a bit longer as it is a far more intensive cake to complete)
Students complete a chocolate panel cake, a 2-tier fondant covered cake and a piped buttercream cake in a design of their choice (photos on the right)
At the end of the course students should be able to apply their new skills to different cake styles

Birthday Cake Essentials (Level 2) ![]()
The next step for those wanting to learn more decorating techniques – the pre-requisite is Birthday Cake Essentials.
We will be doing the following:
Double Barrel cake covered in fondant, the tall cylinder shape
Dolly Varden cakes, using buttercream to make a boy or girl version of this classic shape but with a modern twist
wrapping a cake in modelling chocolate, a tasty new way to use your fondant skills!

A class for beginners

Beginners Piping ![]()
The most essential cake decorating skill is piping. While there is no substitute for practice, knowing handy hints and tips is a great way to start. This class will teach the basics to the art of piping, including bag control, how to make a paper bag, using tips and couplers, getting straight lines and writing. Round Beach Themed Cake

How to get crisp edges and thin fondant covering – the most popular finish for fondant cakes.
Learning outcomes:

Materials/requirements
All students must wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe footwear (preferably with grip soles).
Long hair must be tied back.
We highly recommend wearing clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, as cake decorating can be messy.
Our courses are all-inclusive. We provide ingredients, tools and equipment, undecorated cakes and cupcakes, and boxes – everything you need to learn the craft of baking and decorating.
A student tool kit will be available for purchase if you would like to improve your new skills at home.

Refund and cancellation policy
No refunds are issued if participants change their minds, but they may nominate a person to attend in their place.
Full payment is required in order to be enrolled. Payment on the day is not accepted, sorry!
Refunds may be given at our discretion, but no refunds apply 21 days prior to the course commencement.
Students who are unable to attend a course or part thereof, due to illness, personal or professional commitments, are not entitled to refunds or transfers, except at the discretion of Three Sweeties.

If the minimum is not reached, participants may choose another class or request a refund.
In the event of a class not running, we will contact you as soon as possible to organise an alternative arrangement.
